A. The price depends on the size of skip that you hire. Please see our skip guide for more details.

Q. How and when do we pay?

A. You can pay by credit/debit card over the phone. We also accept cash or cheque on delivery. However, the cheque must have cleared before the skip will be collected.

Q. What is landfill tax?

A. The Government introduced landfill tax in a effort to promote recycling. The aim is to gradually decrease the volume of waste that is taken to landfill. The current rate of landfill tax stands at £40 Per tonne.

Q. What is “Wait & Load”?

A. Wait & Load is a service we offer at no extra cost. When the driver delivers the skip, he will wait for up to 30 minutes while you to fill the skip. He will then take it away. This eliminates the need to obtain permits, and is also ideal if you don’t want a skip sat outside your house.

Q. How high can we load the skip?

A. Skips must be loaded no higher than the vertical sides of the skip. The use of boards to build the sides up is prohibited. Most importantly, the skip must be loaded securely and responsibly so that it is safe for road transport.

Q. Where are the skips taken to be emptied?

A. All skip waste is taken to licensed waste transfer stations. Here it is processed for recycling.

Q. Can you put skips on a road?

A. Yes, we can place skips on a road; we need two days notice to arrange a license from the council. The cost of this is £30 and covers you for up to one week.
